There’s been a new face on the scene this season in the shape of kit-man Adrian ‘Ada’ Jewell.
Ada, a former postman who took early retirement, has joined Alan Dunne’s backroom team and quickly slotted into the vital yet unsung role.
And he certainly knows the ropes having been kit-man at both Bromley and Cray Wanderers previously.
“I knew Dunney at Bromley and was always impressed with his passion so it’s been great to team up with him again,” said Ada.
If you venture down to the Yeomans Community Stadium, Longmead during the week, you’ll invariably find Ada hard at work sifting through the blue, green or lilac shirts and a myriad of other tasks involved in being such an important cog in the wheel.
And of course on matchdays Ada, who is a lifelong Portsmouth fan, becomes an integral part of the behind-the-scenes operation.
Ada has fitted in seamlessly at Angels and we’re delighted to have him.
