Saturday’s match against AFC Totton will see our very first School Partner Day at Tonbridge Angels where we hope to see a host of new younger fans and their parents attending the game.
Over the last two weeks the club has distributed hundreds of complimentary tickets to local schools we work with in the community. The aim is to encourage parents to take advantage of the free adult and child tickets and bring along their children to the Yeomans Community Stadium to experience live football in a safe, welcoming and positive environment.
Tonbridge Angels Chair, Sophie Purves said: “As a club we are passionate about seeing more local children supporting their local football club and we hope this ticketing initiative encourages families who may never have been to a Tonbridge Angels match before enjoy an afternoon of football entertainment. We recognise January can be a tough time financially and this complimentary ticket scheme hopefully provides a day out for local families at no cost while boosting support for the team.”
The club confirmed the following schools have received match tickets and parents can apply for tickets directly with their relevant school: Longmead, Slade, St. Margaret’s, Plaxtol, Woodlands, Cage Green, Hildenborough, East Peckham, Sussex Road and Bishop Chavasse.
In addition to the ticketing initiative, some of the school pupils will be participating in a half time target challenge competition.
We hope all who take advantage of the scheme enjoy their day at the Yeomans Community Stadium.
