Angels Seek Investment To Match Ambition

Baba Celebration

Additional investment required at ‘pivotal’ stage of club’s development

With the club confident it is ‘on the cusp’ of securing a long term lease on its ground, Tonbridge Angels is seeking private investment in an effort to drive the club forward.

Currently 100% supporter owned and with an excellent reputation for being a well-run, community focused, family club, Angels are now actively searching for significant private investment in exchange for significant equity in the club to take us to the next level and beyond,

Located just a short distance from London, in the heart of Kent, and with an average attendance in excess of 1100, Angels has great potential to increase an already growing fan base by securing investment in our infrastructure, facilities, marketing, community, and football resources.

Tonbridge Angels Chair Sophie Purves said: “We have grown significantly in the last five years with the introduction of a state-of-the-art 3G pitch which has allowed us to establish a successful women’s team, four elite Kent Youth League sides, and several walking football teams.

“This has enabled us to cement our reputation as a core community asset through an array of beneficial initiatives involving thousands of local participants. From September, we will also be educating our Academy players at our stadium, creating a proper pathway to the men’s and women’s first teams for our young players.”

In September 2025, the club appointed Millwall legend and former Bromley assistant manager, Alan Dunne as men’s first team manager. Under his stewardship, the team is performing well and there are positive signs for the season ahead following good player recruitment over the summer.

Sophie added: “There’s been enormous hard work from the board over the past five years to get us to our current position and there has been a great buzz around the club and our supporters since the arrival of Alan Dunne. We feel there are exciting times to come and we could not be more optimistic.

“While we are tremendously proud of the strides we have taken as a 100% fan owned club, we believe we are now at a pivotal stage in our development which requires additional external investment beyond the current ownership model. The club is in an excellent place and is ready for investment to take us to the next level.

“We are looking for individuals who love football and the positive impact it has on the local community to invest in the club and join us on an exciting journey as we aim to take Tonbridge Angels up the football pyramid.

Most importantly, we believe we are on the cusp of securing a long-term lease for our Longmead site following very positive and supportive negotiations with Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council. Securing a long-term lease would provide an exciting future and brilliant opportunities for the club and our supporters.”
