An End-Of-Season Message To All Angels’ Supporters

A message from Alan Dunne.

Firstly, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Sophie Purves and the Board for entrusting me with the opportunity to manage this exceptional football club back in September. I am equally grateful to all the players and staff for their unwavering hard work, dedication, and support throughout the season.

Despite the challenges we faced, particularly competing in a league with significantly greater financial resources, we successfully achieved our objectives. I am immensely proud of what has been accomplished, taking a team widely predicted for relegation to a 60-point finish, establishing ourselves as one of the in-form sides, and reaching a Cup Final.

This season has also seen several notable achievements:

– The club’s first run of four consecutive home league wins since 2017

– The first time in 11 years the team has scored six goals in a league match, and the first time in 18 years this has been achieved away from home

– Ranked 6th in away form

– Holding the 4th best defensive record away from home

Finally, I would like to thank the supporters and everyone connected to Tonbridge Angels Football Club. Your backing, both home and away, has been outstanding. The energy and noise week in, week out, has been truly infectious. This season has been a remarkable journey, already filled with memorable moments, with many more to come.

I look forward to the new season and to welcoming you all back to Longmead in due course.

Now the hard work continues as we prepare for season 2026/27.

The future is bright for the Angels.

Alan
