Jack Wood returns on loan to season’s end
Tonbridge Angels are delighted to announce the return, on loan to the end of the season, of Jack Wood from Southend United.
Jack, who spent a successful time with the Angels in 2022/23, arriving in November on a loan that was extended through to the end of the season.
He made 22 appearances for the Angels, scoring eight times in his previous spell.
Southend signed Jack from Kings Langley in January 2022 and he has made 45 appearances for the Shrimpers while being involved in 10 National League games this season. He has recently spent a month on loan at our National League South counterparts, Torquay United.
Jay Saunders said of his signing:¬†”I’m delighted to bring Woody back to the club, it is something that has been going on, behind the scenes, for about a week or so that we were hoping to get over the line earlier but didn’t quite happen. I don’t think he needs any introduction to our supporters after his last spell here, my first season at the club, he was excellent. I think he will bring assists, goals and attacking flair to the team. So, really pleased to have Jack on board¬†and we’ve had to fight a lot of competition for him but I’m sure he will add to us for this last part of the season.”
We thank Kevin Maher and Southend United for facilitating the loan and wish Jack every success in his time at the club.
