‘Kor’ Values…Ricky Puts Pen To Paper

Ricky Korboa is the first Angel to sign up for next season.

The skilful, left-sided wideman has proved a big hit with the Angels faithful since Alan Dunne brought him to the club last autumn.

Since then he has made 26 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing four assists.

Yet statistics don’t tell the whole story as Korboa’s optimistic outlook, positive disposition and contribution to the dressing room have made him a fundamental cog in the Angels machine.

Korboa said: “I’m delighted to sign. Ever since I arrived, I’ve felt wanted and I’m really enjoying my football. Last season was a bit of challenge for me but everyone at Tonbridge has made me so welcome.

“Angels is a great family club with really good people including the gaffer and Sophie. It’s great when you hear the fans singing your name. In some ways, I think I can do even better and contribute more goals and more assists. Now we want to finish the season strongly and prepare for next season.”

Alan Dunne added: “I’m delighted to get Ricky signed. He’s been a breath of fresh air since he’s come in. He’s a humble lad and everything you’d want from a player and person in your squad. He works hard and gives everything for the shirt. He’s been exceptional for us this season and I think having players like Ricky on board shows how far we’ve come as a club and our ambition for the future.”

All together now (channelling our inner Freddie Mercurys):

“He has the pace…he has the power, he’s yet to have his finest hour.”

“Korboooooa….all we need is Ricky Korboa. Ricky Korboa…”
