‘Electric’ flying winger Jephte Tanga is the latest addition to Alan Dunne’s 2026/27 squad.
Tanga spent last season at Maidstone and becomes the fourth ex Stone to join Angels following Sam Corne, Lamar Reynolds and Nathan Harness.
Brixton-raised Tanga, 22, started his career at Leyton Orient, who he joined at 16. A loan spell at Welling United followed before his first move to Maidstone.
After returning to Leyton Orient, Tanga joined Ebbsfleet United before a second spell at Stones preceded his move to Angels. Last season, he scored seven goals and provided 10 assists.
When asked to describe his playing-style, Tanga told Angels Media: “I’d say electric, hard-working and I like to cause havoc for the opposition. I’m full of energy. The game could be flat but I like to think I can spark something out of nowhere. That’s what I’m about and that’s what I want to bring here.”
Tanga can also play on the left or right giving Alan Dunne healthy options should he wish to change tactics at any time:
“As a player it’s good to be able to adapt so if ever the gaffer needs to change formation or do something a bit differently I can slot in and that’s another thing I like about my game,” he said.
“Tonbridge feels like it’s on the up right now, heading in the right direction and I want to be part of it.”
Alan Dunne said: “Jephte’s a really exciting player who had a good season last year playing a number of positions in the wide areas. He scored a few goals and had a number of assists. He has great delivery and is the sort of player who can get people off their seats which is what we want and I’m delighted to have him.”
