Youths looking for Cup magic!

Cup fever will be gripping the youth set-up as three of our teams have later stage ties in the coming fortnight.

On the 11th January at the Yeomans Community Stadium with a 12 o’clock kick-off, the Under-15’s have a Kent Youth League Cup Semi-Final against Folkestone Invicta.

Despite being in the same division, the sides are yet to meet this season, but the U15’s will be looking to take their unbeaten league form forward into a competition that has seen them dispose of Kings Hill, Chislehurst Glebe, Cray Valley PM and Bearsted.

To reach this stage Invicta have beaten Parkwood Rangers, Erith Town and Whitstable Town.

Following the U15’s onto the Yeomans pitch at 2pm will be the Under-14’s who will be looking to progress in the Kent FA County Cup, that is at the quarter-final stage and their opponents will be Ebbsfleet United.

Ebbsfleet have defeated Sutton Athletic, Cray Wanderers and Erith and Belvedere en-route to the Quarter Final whilst the Angels have seen off Chislehurst Glebe and Kings Hill.

On Thursday, 15th January, the Isthmian Youth League Under-18’s travel to Deal Town for a 7.45pm kick-off to meet their Under-23’s in the Quarter-Finals of the Kent Intermediate Cup.

Our U18’s have beaten the U23 sides of Lordswood and Margate, the latter on a penalty shoot-out after an injury time goal from the Angels’ Ed Dyer took the game to spot kicks.

Then on Saturday, the U15’s have the second of their cup games when they visit Greenwich Borough in the Quarter-Finals of the London FA County Cup, kick-off is 10am. The competition has seen the Angels beat the holders Lambeth Tigers before the Kent side visited the hallowed grounds of Hackney Marshes were they beat Impact. In the last round they won at Onside FA.

Good luck to all our sides in their quest for a little bit of cup magic!
