Harness Attached To Angels

Tonbridge Angels are delighted to confirm the signing of goalkeeper Nathan Harness.

Harness has put pen-to-paper at the Yeomans Community Stadium, Longmead after leaving Maidstone United at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

The 26-year-old six-foot-four stopper made 35 appearances for The Stones and played against Angels in the recent Kent Senior Cup Final at Gillingham.

Harness came through the academy ranks at Stevenage before starting his professional career at Charlton Athletic, where he made a handful of first team appearances, played under a number of managers including Lee Bowyer, Johnnie Jackson, Ben Garner and Nigel Adkins, and had loan spells at Billericay, Welling, Dulwich and Bromley.

He then moved to MK Dons and spent loan time at Gateshead, Wealdstone and Southend, before his move to the Gallagher Stadium.

Harness told Angels Media: “I’m delighted to be here. I had a couple of offers from different teams but from the get-go my heart was set on Tonbridge. It felt right. I had some good conversations with the gaffer and other people and I just got that gut feeling that this is where I wanted to spend my time.”

Angels boss Alan Dunne added: “I’m absolutely delighted to bring Nathan in. Obviously I’ve had two excellent ‘keepers on loan during my time here – Matt Rowley and Laurie Shala – but you’re never secure with loan ‘keepers so I wanted some stability in that position.

“For me, Nathan ticks all the right boxes. He’s got good pedigree, starting out at Charlton. He’s a big character with charisma and personality. He’s dominant in the box, kicks well and is ambitious. He’s a big addition for us and I’m really, really pleased to bring him in because he had other offers to consider but I’m delighted he’s decided to join us.”

Welcome to Angels, Nathan!
